Spears (United Kingdom) (2006/09/04): The second part to one of the best trilogies I have read since Tolkiens Lord of the Rings.
The adventures of Lyra and companions is thrilling, wonderous and often tear jerking. The plot line is ingenious and thought provoking. I was so absorbed by this series that when I'd finished I felt as if I had lost a friend.
