Jean L (USA: KS) (2010/11/29): I liked this book and plan to read the rest of this series. This is the first of the series featuring Terry McCaleb, a former FBI man recuperating from a heart transplant, in Los Angeles. It won 1989 Anthony Award for Best Mystery and 1999 Macavity Award for Best Novel. It was finalist 1999 Edgar Award for Best Mystery and Finalist 1999 Barry Award for Best Novel. To sum up: it is a good one.
