from Oprah's Book club........a pretty good read, but got tedious at times with the main character's obsession with the environment. Also rather wordy with long sentences which, by the time the end of the sentence is reached, the beginnning of the sentence has been forgotten. The story is real enough of a dysfunctional family and their pain. Would really be a better read from a Kindle, so one could look up all the words the author used that you won't know the meaning of. I have a fairly wide vocabulary, but I saw words I'd never seen before and was too lazy in trying to finish this book to take the time to look up the unknown words.
