Status message: I send internationally if A) it is a mooch for at least two, preferably three, books; B) the books are of a size and weight to fit into one flat rate mailer; and C) you can wait a couple of days for me to get the postage and get to the post office. Bio: I was dragged kicking and screaming into retirement in my seventies, so I have too little money and too much time, energy and interests. Book Mooch helps me afford my reading habit, especially in the summer when I'm spending my fun money on canoeing, camping, etc. That is also why I'm very selective about which international mooches I can accept. I have some favorite authors -- Perry, Dexter, James, Hoeg, Mankell, etc. -- but I like to read those special one-of-a-kind books -- Kite Runner, Life of Pi, Anthill. The best seller list is a good source of these books, but I love when a friend recommends a book the world hasn't discovered, and it turns out to be fantastic. Got any of these suggestions?
