Status message:
I am open, in general, to sending books outside of Japan, but generally I want to send them to places where they're hardest to find and most appreciated, such as non-English-speaking countries and/or outside the G-8.

So the more the factors below are true, the more likely I am to TURN DOWN requests:

• from places with plenty of English-language books already
• from English-speaking countries
• from the U.S. or U.K.
• from major cities/metro areas of the above
• for popular, best-selling -- therefore widely available -- books
• for recent, still in-print books

Factors which make it more likely I'd say yes:

• Non-English speaking countries
• Developing countries
• Rural areas
• Older, out-of-print books

In general, the books will be in good -- or readable -- condition, at least. A few are a bit battered, and I'll try to note those is the listings.
